Corbyn Odds-On To Go As French Election Looks Two Horse Race
Jeremy Corbyn has been backed down to odds-on to cease to be Labour leader during 2017, with bookmakers William Hill who have cut him from Even money to 10/11, the shortest odds he has been since taking on the role.
'Political punters seem convinced that Mr Corbyn will no longer be Labour leader when 2018 comes around and are backing him to go at whatever price we put up' said Hill's Media Relations Director, Graham Sharpe.
Meanwhile, Hills say they are seeing record amounts of money gambled on the outcome of the French Presidential Elections.'Until now we have never come anywhere near a six figure turnover on the outcome of the French Presidential Elections, but we have already smashed through that barrier, with months to go before the outcome will be confirmed' said Sharpe.
Hills make Emmanual Macron 11/10 favourite, with Marine Le Pen 2/1 second favourite, and these two drawing clear of 5/1 chance Francois Fillon, the former favourite in the betting.
