Odds Of Long Hot Summer Are Shortest Ever For This Time Of Year…Hottest Ever June?
With the warm weather set to continue for the next few days, William Hill are offering just 6/1 that the temperature breaches 100f on the mercury at any point over the course of 2017 and 9/1 the record UK temperature of 38.5C is broken. It is just 8/1 that the hottest June temperature of 35.6C is broken before 1st July.
“At this stage of the year, it is usually still a double digit price to see a record temperature or even 100f broken, however, if this current heatwave is anything to go by, we look set for a long, hot and potentially record breaking summer,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
On the flip side of the coin, if this is as good as it is going to get, it is 2/1 that June sees the hottest day of 2017.
What month will have the warmest day in the UK in 2017: 2/1 June; 7/4 July; 5/2 August; 5/1 September; 50/1 October – December incl.
